Tuesday and Technology

Not really that exciting of a day. Just hanging out it the sun all day.. well I say all day.. I didn't actually get up till 4 in the afternoon on account of me being up till around 8am the night before. I was up editing and posting a video for youtube.. and dam my laptop.. I spent hours figuring out how to edit this video trying to get it good enough to post and then literally as I'm converting it to a.. emm.. different video thingy in order to up load it.. my battery dies.. no warning.. went from about 20Min's - 0Min's in about a second.

I thought every thing would be OK just plug it in and carry on.. but no.. I plug it in, hit space bar and nothing. the battery was actually proper flat as a pancake! so I turn my computer on to find every thing gone.. the video clips, all the editing every thing. So I start again throw another video together ant pfft.. w/e it will do.. cant be bothered and to tired now to be picky.

Also another thing I would like to rant about while I'm ranting... My Internet connection!. For months its been messing me around. On and off when ever it pleases. It doesn't totally cut me off though.. just the broadband connection? and it always seems to do it at night? at around 10-12 at night. For ages Ive been struggling to figure it out.. everything seems to be in perfect working order? Its been sooo frustrating..

Then then earlier today it all became clear... Me and my sister were sitting up the table across from each other, laptops in front of us, head phones on, communicating with each other with IM's (I know... its that bad.. lol) and she got up left the room and went up stairs for a bit.. as soon as she was gone the connection cut out... I did the same thing I do every time.. shout and moan, click buttons, restart, unplug everything, plug it back in... and nothing.. until Amy come back in and sits down.. now with the phone in her hand.. she get on with what she was doing.. inter net is back every thing if working fine..

Now I'm thinking.. what I'm thinking I don't know.. just trying to think of something... the timing was to perfect to be coincidence?.. but what did she do? and why would she do what ever it is she did?.. was this just a little sister trying to annoy her older brother by disconnecting the Internet when shes not using it.. and doing it some how without involving the router?.. shes not that clever?? is she?..

No no no.. I'm being silly... it cant be her.. but what!? why for months has it been doing this.... the phone rings... my sister answers... the Internet cuts out... "hello... blah blah blah... OK byeee"... its back... THAT'S IT!!! the phone. I couldn't believe it so I tried it my self and sure enough it was the phone. Suddenly every thing made sense.. it was my sister.. but not intentionally to annoy me.. just it was a night she would be on the phone for hours at a time.. and it was hours at a time the connection would go.. I checked the phone upstairs for a filter.. no filter... Why oh WHY!? did i not think of this before...

A problem I've had for months! quickly and easily fixed.
